Do you want to decorate your home or apartment with high style and low funds? Or just looking for some home decorating ideas that stays within your budget? Well, look no further!!! Discover the ways to get the look you want for your home, with money left over to cover the mortgage. These wonderful tips and ideas will help kick start the dream home decorating ideas that will spruce your home "to the max!!" The Golden Rule It's your home and you have to live in it, so it should be whatever you desire- cozy, comfortable, practical, hospitable and exactly the colors you want whether it be conservative, chic, dramatic or funky (personally I prefer Funky!!) buy what you like. And I think it goes without saying that if you're on a limited budget as much as possible do-it-yourself. Tip 1: If you're working with a limited budget always start with the rooms that you're gonna be spending the most time in like your living room, kitchen and bedroom. (Also the first rooms that visitors may see when there, you know, visiting.) Tip 2: Spent the bulk of your budget on stuff that would enhance or transform the look of the entire room. Things like paint, furniture, accessories and rugs can alter the look of a room. Put something 'alive' in every room. Tip 3: Look for great deals for furniture or accessories by starting with flea markets, garage sales, the attic, Grandma's house( she might have some pretty good old treasures) or even other rooms of your home. Shopping in your home is great, considerably cheap (get it?) and you can uncover lots of treasures in your closets, corners and cupboards. Leave buying retail furniture from the furniture stores as a last resort because this would be the most expensive out of the options listed. If you do, however, have to go that way you should choose pieces that are basic so that you can paint or change them to make them your own. Tip 4: When you've gather all your pieces, accessories, and accents strip the room bare- walls & floors! Like with every artist, you need a clean canvas to work with and by doing this you are free to start afresh with a new outlook. Also, do a thorough 'spring cleaning' so that everything looks new and fresh then reconstruct it-change the window treatment or rearrange it. Tip 5: A big YES would be to include, in your, design fresh flowers, fruits and plants, fun colors and warm tones. Having good lighting can enhance a design higher watt bulbs may do the trick! Also, rearranging your existing furniture can cut the task in half. Tip 6: If you're working with a really small budget you can just freshen up a room with some paint and the accessories can come later as your budget allows. Rome wasn't built in a day! If ya got bucks for more than a coat of paint, you can buy things like: 1. New lamp shades (colorful ones are dramatic and will add some spicy hotness to your overall look.) 2. New valances, throw pillows and small area rugs. (Small area rugs can be hung on the wall for as unique accessory.) 3. Pictures can be replaced by mirrors (this can also add depth to the room and makes it look bigger, hey!). Using a floor lamp you can highlight any major accessories that you have in the room like plants or pieces of furniture. (It's like saying hey look over here without have to point.) Now that you have all these exciting tips and tricks your home should be fabulous. And it better be 'cause I might just come visit!! But hold on a minute...
